Texas Health Steps Continuing Education Courses
I research and write continuing education courses for doctors, nurses and other health-care providers. That’s right, this English major teaches doctors. While I still prefer a good novel, I have become a fluent reader of medical journals, AAP position papers, and CDC data. I revel in turning these jargony word labyrinths into clear, easy-to-follow courses busy health-care professionals can take on their phone. I love learning new things and working with smart people, so these modules are always a fun challenge. I have written courses on the HPV vaccine, SIDS prevention, breastfeeding, youth violence prevention, infant plagiocephaly, cavity prevention, and prenatal care.
