Hi there! I’m Elizabeth. It’s nice to meet you!
A few things about me…
I am:
Creative and super organized. My bullet journals have bullet journals.
An endurance junkie. I excel at long runs, writing novels, and huge projects with lots of complicated details. Bring it!
Kindhearted and loyal. I’m easy to work with, and I will have your back. It makes me happy to make my co-workers and clients look good.
A lifelong learner. Throw me into the deep end of any subject, and I will swim. I love learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others.
Still reading? Here’s a little more about me:
I remember getting my first Big Chief tablet when I was five and thinking, I can’t wait to fill this thing with words. I have been a writer ever since. I studied English and Women’s studies at Southwestern University and after graduating, went straight into an MFA creative writing program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I loved my time in graduate school. It was a thrill to learn from other writers and artists and have my work read and taken seriously.
Since graduate school I have worked as a writing professor, a copywriter, content writer, editor, and advertising account executive. I love digging into a big, complicated project with lots of details to keep track of. I get excited about creating order out of chaos and tracking progress on spreadsheets. As a former English teacher and Latin nerd, I am a stickler for punctuation and grammar.
For fun, I run marathons, volunteer as a children’s gardening teacher, write essays on my blog, wholehearty, and work on my novel. I have three children, ages 10, 14 and 15, who are my favorite works in progress. I am beyond lucky to share my life with a supportive, fun, funny, and hard-working husband and a not-so-hard-working, but devoted cocker spaniel named Bobby.
